About

Portrait of Lucía Blasco

I'm Lucía Blasco, a multimedia storyteller.

For eight years I worked at BBC News in London, producing video explainers, news reports and features for BBC News Mundo — covering global and Latin American affairs, culture and the environment. I produced and presented the BBC World Service radio programme BBC Resolves: Life After Covid‑19, and directed and presented the documentary What to Do With Our Waste, distributed worldwide in English and Spanish.

Since 2023 I've been part of the Euronews Spanish service — first in Lyon, now in Madrid — producing and voicing international news for television and digital audiences across the Spanish-speaking world.

Photography is where it all comes together. Trained in photojournalism, I've shot documentary projects in Zambia, India and Romania, including commissioned work for the World Bank in the Meheba refugee settlement.
